Enrichment

At Rusthall St. Paul’s we believe that our curriculum should offer more than the standard National Curriculum lessons.

Learning new skills really benefits children – it helps them develop confidence, resilience, perseverance as well as personal and social skills. We have Learn a New Skill Days throughout the year, where pupils sign up to workshops with other pupils from across the school.  These have proved hugely popular, with new skills and friendships being developed every time.

Our topics always start with a Stunning Start, end with a Fantastic Finish and have a Marvellous Middle in between. These can include days out; recent trips have included: Houses of Parliament/Thames boat trip, Port Lympne, Bore Place and Ashdown Forest. We invite visitors in, such as a portable astrodome for our Space topic and Living Histories for a Viking topic.

We also run a wide range of extra-curricular clubs throughout lunchtimes and after school – these include chess, ICT, gardening, football, running and dance.

We regularly send sporting teams to events across Tunbridge Wells, including rugby, netball, cricket and athletics.
